Pretty sure the only reason I take art classes is to make friends that will draw me things. Just kidding, thank you Amanda :D

I hired a professional artist to take on this unique concept I had in mind. The idea was of a contemporary piece that would not only illustrate society, but also it’s resistance to change and it’s effects on humans and our planet as a whole. You see, the uniquely designed du-rag on Jowee’s head represents human nature. He is floating in space because it is the spirit that is infinite, much like the universe.  I feel like this artist has done an excellent job at expressing this through minimalist qualities as well as succeeded with Jowee’s hyper-realistic facial qualities exemplified in this piece.

But why Jowee? It’s simple: His existence represents the bowels of the Earth— he also serves as a metaphor for human nature’s ignorance as well as innocence. It was well worth selling my house and my parents to commission this artist.
